WBStool Microsoft Project Integration:
(1. Installation)
2. From work breakdown structure (WBStool) to GANTT chart (MS-Project):
- Start WBStool and create work breakdown structure
- Menu 'View'/'MS Project' (opens MS-Project and directly imports data from WBStool)
- Wait for MS Project (insertion of new lines is very slow there)
- Finalize project plan in MS-Project and save it there (changes are shown in the WBS by click into the WBStool window)
3. From GANTT chart (MS-Project) to work breakdown structure (WBStool):
- Create project plans in MS-Project
- Start WBStool while MS-Project is open
- (WBStool then works as viewer of MS-Project's active project)
- (The WBStool-presentation of MS-Project's active project is redrawn with any click on the WBStool-window)
- (Changes in the WBStool-presentation are shown in parallel in the open MS-Project window)
The WBStool MS-Project Integration keeps all data only in the .mpp-file of MS-Project.
Saving a project in the WBStool-XML-format ('Project'/'Save As...') cancels the connection between this
WBStool-project and MS-Project.
Opening any MS-Project-.mpp-file in WBStool ('Project'/'Open') immediately opens the MS-Project application
with this specific file, and WBStool works in parallel as a WBS data-viewer of MS-Project data.
